Priscilla and Marschal met when they were at the dog park and ended up walking five miles through Riverwalk just talking! They started dating soon after and the rest is history. Marschal was deployed for four and a half months before they got engaged, and he arrived home on the 4th of July. His mom had already gone to pick up the ring 2 weeks before he came back. She would go to the jewelry store and FaceTime with him while he was in Kuwait so he could look at and pick out rings. That Sunday, Marschal surprised Priscilla with a photoshoot of them and their dogs because she’d been dying to get family portraits to go up in their new house. In the middle of a huge sunflower field, Marschal got down on one knee in the middle of their shoot and asked her to be his forever. He even arranged a cookout with family and friends to surprise her with when they came home!
Working with these two has been such a blessing and a joy. I am so glad to call them friends. Their wedding day seemed to come so fast and it was one for the books. Seeing Priscilla walk down the aisle in her gorgeous ball gown was a breathtaking sight and I can only imagine what Marschal was feeling! They partied all night long at their reception and shared a last dance alone together in their venue before running through sparklers with their friends and family to end the night. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Martens for allowing me to capture your love story!
Thank you to all the AMAZING vendors who made the Martens wedding wonderful!
